Today is day 59 of the 60 day legislative session. This is the final legislative update and the Board will receive a legislative wrap-up presentation in the next Board meeting. Once bills have passed the Legislature the Governor has 5 days, if the Legislature is still in session, or 20 days, if the Legislature has adjourned, to take action on any bill passed by the Legislature.

Board Endorsed Bills

Concerning LEOFF Plan 2 (SB 6197) – The Senate concurred with the amendments made by the House and the bill is waiting to be delivered to the Governor for signature.

Budget Bill

Supplemental Operating Budget (SB 5950)  - The supplemental operating budget fully funds LEOFF Plan 2.  It is currently in a House Conference Committee.

Flexible Work Policies for Law Enforcement Officers (SB 5424) – This bill has passed out of the legislature and is waiting to be delivered to the Governor for signature.
