In 2018, House Bill 2202 provided a limited time for EMTs working for a public hospital district to transfer to or join LEOFF Plan 2.

This bill enabled EMTs to participate in LEOFF Plan 2 by purchasing service credit. The five-year deadline to purchase this credit is June 28, 2023. If you are a hospital district EMT eligible to transfer or join LEOFF Plan 2 under this legislation and you would like to join LEOFF Plan 2, the Total Due to purchase service credit must be paid by June 28, 2023.
