Audit Results Show LEOFF 2 Board Doing Well

The LEOFF Plan 2 Board recently hired the Washington State Auditor’s office to conduct the Board’s annual financial audit for the fiscal year ending June. 2018. The findings of this audit were presented at the November 28, 2018 Board meeting. A clean opinion was given. “It is apparent to our team that this Board puts a good value on audits and transparency.” said Troy Niemeyer, Assistant Director of State Audit. The initiative creating the LEOFF Plan 2 Retirement Board requires annual financial audits which is uncommon for state agencies. The Board has received a clean audit report every year since its inception.
