Reposted from the Department of Retirement Systems 1/18/2017 Retired and waiting for your 1099-R for tax purposes? Your 1099-R form will be mailed by the end of January. Beginning Jan. 23, you can get a copy of your 1099-R by signing in to your retirement account and then selecting the 1099-R link on the left side of the page. From there you can view it or print a copy. This year, some Plan 3 members may receive more than one 1099-R form. DRS transitioned to a new record keeper for Plan 3 services effective March 1, 2016. Any distributions made in 2016 prior to this transition will be issued by the former record keeper, and any distributions made after that date will be issued by the new record keeper.
