Yesterday marked the end of the 2017 Legislative Session. Legislators concluded by passing the 2017-19 fiscal biennium operating budget. The budget included full contribution rates as adopted by the Board, canceled the alternate revenue payment due to the Benefit Improvement Account, and requires employers to pay both state and employer contributions when employees are contracted to provide services at special events. Additionally, the following two bills passed through this year:

• A study on Interruptive Service Credit for LEOFF Members (SB 5661)
• LEOFF 2 Eligibility for Hospital District EMTs (SHB 2202)
